Gather with us at Granville Island for a unique storytelling experience that brings to life the traditions and meaning of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Through folktales, legends, and children’s books, this session explores universal themes of life, love, and remembrance.
Oral storytelling has always been central to preserving history and identity across generations. This workshop highlights the importance of narrative and imagination in building cultural understanding and honoring the memory of those who came before us.
Latin American Heritage Month (LAHM) Festival is an annual celebration in BC that highlights the rich cultural diversity, traditions, and contributions of Latin American communities. Organized by , a non-profit that connects Latin American and Canadian cultures, the festival runs from the middle of October to the beginning of November and features a variety of activities, including music, dance performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, and culinary experiences.
